After much thought (and a lot of coffee), I’ve decided to take the plunge into early retirement. Looking back on 45 years in the creative industry, it’s been quite the ride—equal parts rewarding, exhausting, and occasionally bewildering.
I never expected to build a successful business, but somehow, here we are. Of course, I didn’t do it alone. My family has been my rock, especially my amazing wife, who not only tolerated my creative chaos but also kept the financial side of things running smoothly. Without her, I’d probably have ended up paying invoices to myself.
Over the years, I’ve worked with clients all over the world, tackling an incredible range of commercial projects. But, constantly meeting deadlines and bringing other people’s visions to life left little time for my own artistic pursuits. That’s about to change. This next chapter is all about getting back to what I love—fine art, book projects, music, and anything else that sparks my creativity (or at least keeps me out of trouble)
I’m not disappearing entirely—I’ll still share some work with agents and might take on the odd project that’s too exciting to resist. But the main goal? More time for art, more time for family, and finally, the freedom to create just for the joy of it. Let’s see where this adventure takes me!
